I've been checking your journal every morning, and I can't help but notice that your cold is really a humdinger. It's still bearing down on you pretty hard. Hopefully, it'll run it's course today or tomorrow.
Sometimes I wonder of the cold meds really help, or if they just prolong the agony. You seem to have a lot of a lot of "heavy duty" congestion. I usually just tough it out, except that if I have a bad cold, I often take a good, maximum strength cough syrup at bedtime, to make breathing easier, so I can sleep better.
I hope it turns you loose pretty soon.

Good Morning, Christine
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hey Tex :)
Thanks for caring..
Yeah, my cold sucks. I've always been prone to sinus infections, and this one's a dosie. I'm TRYING to avoid going to the doctor and getting antibiotics, because my stomach issues finally seem a bit better.
I have to keep on decongestants, otherwise my ears will explode, literally. They FEEL like they're exploding now. As a result, it all runs out my nose and down my throat (num!). The green snot is a pretty good indication of a sinus infection and it tastes awful - makes EVERYTHING taste awful, and makes me dizzy/lightheaded. The ears are the center of balance and having all that congestion there REALLY throws the body off.
If I end up going to the doc, it'd probably be cleared up in a few days, but since I'm not planning on it, I can probably plan on at least another week of this.
We'll see what happens. I'm not going to cause myself TOO much agony - if it gets bad enuf, I'll go in.. Reached my out of pocket max for this year already, so hey, might as well go in, right? No copay!
