Officially a PATIENT!!
Got to Nyack @ 9am----blood workup
THEN--papers galore to check--etc.
Have all my meds on a piece of paper---forgot that@ home--
Called Carol when I got home---and there were 3 that I can take that morning--
VERY VERY important was the issue I mentioned(about my escapade in 04) concerning the fact of the bruised vocal cords--the pediatric tube they had to use--to get down my throat--- SHE told me this is a MUST to be on my records---of course her eyes POPPED when I replied to her Q?--what did U have---so I said well---first it was BOOP---then finally AFOP--and she just looked @ me and this was another issue to discuss--
So to skip all the other stuff--Monday I shall be there @ 7:30am--strip down to wear there HIGH STYLED DESIGNER stuff--- -- either WALK---WHEELEDCHAIR or ROLLED in--MY CHOOSING???
Wonder what they ask me to do after this cement stuff is over--
NOW it is possible that I can come home later that day depending how I am feeling--
I hope I am feeling good cus I HATE those rooms---U freeze on those WATERBED mattress (sanitary reasons)\So to be on the safe side I am bringing a pair of heavy socks-----and my heavy bathrobe---to keep me from (((((shivering))))) cus their blankets are like see-thru pieces of cloth-
Well maybe they improved--since I was last there---
Thats it---I am scared---testy---so this is making L. TESTIER!!!

Barbara dear-
I will be thinking of you on Monday! I hope you stay toasty warm, as well! In the pre-op area they always have this "bear hugger" heat blanket system - it's like a blow up air mattress - connected to a pump blowing warm air into it - very comfy-cozy to crawl under (while your hangs out the back of the hospital gown!)
Those blankets *are* crap quality - ask them to put them in the warmer for you - and stack 'em 3 or 4 high! No need to freeze!
My anesthesiologist always calls the night before to go over things - so make sure you tell him/her your *issues* so everyone is well aware! I can't have neeedle sticks/IV or BP in my left arm due to my lymph node issues - I wrote it on my arm in sharpie(!) you can't trust people to follow instructions while you you know!
Hopefully you'll be home in your own bed by
Wishes for good health and a smooth sailin' procedure!

Here a nice warm robe to keep you warm Twinnie. I don't need it down here as we have pretty high temperatures at the moment.
I will be thinking of you Barb. I know how scared you must be but think of all the pain that you won't have after. I wouldn't try to do anything that bothers you after you come out of hospital. If you don't feel like socialising just stay home & pamper yourself.
Lots love & hugs
