rain beautiful rain

Post by Liz »

We have been getting a bit of very useful rain & there is a low up north that may develop into a cyclone. If it does it will bring lots of water where it is needed. As long as it is not a very destructive cyclone it will be very welcome. The Woodford Festival is a sea of mud but it has not deterred some people & many are reveling in it.

I have been taking it easy & trying to get some well needed rest. I have been lazily going through my wardrobes & have found that I now fit back into some very nice outfits. I don't really feel like doing much at the moment. Not only have I had a very busy, eventful & not very happy healthwise year but I now have some sort of wog. A virus of some sort & am on antibiotics. Different ones to the one that I take for UTI's so am hoping that I can finish them before that pops up again. Have a feeling that I may becoming resistant to Keflex. Hope not, even though it makes such a mess of me.

Love

Liz,

I'm glad to hear the good news about the rain. I hope it continues to develop.

This definitely has been a tough year for you. I hope the antibiotics continue to do the job, and I hope the new year is much kinder and gentler.

Love,
Tex

 Here's hoping you will have enough soggy days to really improve the water shortage, but not enough to have flooding.

Hi, Liz

Melanie (The Cyclone) has become a category 2!
:???:

Take care, my friend. :bigbighug:
I hope you are living far away from its path.
And if it will get close, (I am sure you will) take the necessary precautions.

Thanks for the links Tessa. Melanie is over the other side of the country to us so will not have a direct effect on our area. They have at times experienced some really bad blows over there. We are at present not expected to get a full blown cyclone, at least until next week perhaps but it is very windy from the low & the beaches are all closed. There are still some stupid people who insist on going into the water & then lifesavers have to risk their own lives to rescue them. One idiot said that the sun was out & the weather had been so bad with the rain that people on holiday could not be blamed for venturing into the waves. all 12 foot of them with undertows & rips that drag people straight out to sea. Sometimes I wonder if there is anything in some peoples heads except cotton wool.

Liz,

At least people like that don't have to worry about anyone accusing them of having good common sense. Hahahahaha. Don't worry, there are plenty of them over here in this country, too. LOL.
