Christine,

I was just about to write you about this. I have just activated the avatar option. I also created a new forum called, (How to Use Avatars). How about helping us out with this project, if you have the time.

Would you be willing to write instructons for uploading and using avatars in that forum, so that all of us can refer to it to easily use this feature? Max file size is actually 6144 Bytes, and max avatar dimensions are 80 x 80 pixels. See your profile to upload. Thanks.

Tex

P S We may want to move that instruction file to a different location later, but, this should work for the present, while we are just getting started organizing things.

Sorry about that. Yeah, I think it's set up for gif files. I know that will work. I don't know about other file formats, but you might check it out to see if they'll work.

I made a quick post over there with my initial findings on the wonderful world of Avatars.

And thanks for inviting me into your private realm. :)

Yeah, you really need to have the pic hosted on a website.. look at the how to under the Avatars topic (not GMB).. you can email the pic to trent and I and we'll host it for you, give you the link and you can enter the link into the space provided until Wayne gets the gallery set up.

Christine,

The avatar storage path is "images/avatars", and the avatar gallery path is "images/avatars/gallery". Do we need subfolders for different gallery catagories?

if you look under galleries, they have subcategories, I don't think it's necessary to add folders for them.. I think the system will do that if we sort them within the program.. plus, I doubt we'd have THAT many pics that it's going to get "out of hand" and if we DO, we can later add subfolders and sort them out..
