This is for yesterday.
Friday, June 24
Felt fine all morning. Even worked in the garden a little. Cool.
Lunch with Thea. I can't remember all that I ate because it was one of those salad bars with EVERYTHING on it. I stayed away from the lettuce. I have a wonderful cauliflower soup into which I put a spoondul of salsa.
Really delicious. I have found that if something tastes delicious to me, then it doesn't give me problems.
No bread.
Thea felt the same way which leads me to believe it was something we both ate.
It got hot.
I felt dizzy, spaced out, and a wee bit nauseous. Also very tired. This is my typical rection to heat.
We'll see how today goes.
It is nice and cool now and I feel great.

Hi Sally,
It good to see you are feeling better now that you are cooling off. It is really great to have you on this board - Welcome. And welcome to the journal room as well - I was wondering if you want your journal to be interactive? Or if you prefer to keep it for yourself w/o comments?
I love reading people's journals and giving unsolicited opinions - sorry, it is a weakness of mine
Love,
Karen

Hmmm. I notice that the only time I write here is when I have had a so-so day. If I don't do something about that, it will begin to sound like one long complaint.
So, Saturday was a GREAT DAY!!
Yesterday, not so much. I went on a tour of Portland with my friend Dollie and we had a nice brunch somewhere up there. We went to some interesting neighborhoods and saw a lot of funky stores that I would have liked to explore. Trouble was, my hips were giving me hell. When the weather is nice and sunny, they don't bother me as much, but when it is changing, oh boy. I just can't walk any distance at all. I am going to make an appointment with my doc today and tell her that I can't stand this nonsence anymore!! I want a CAT scan and a bone scan and xrays and whatever to see if there is something WRONG in there. This whole thing started over 30 years ago and has steadily gotten worse.
I know how Momster feels. I don't hurt when I am not walking, but, boy oh boy, when I try to go anywhere, my hips feel like they are on fire!!!
That's all for today.
The workmen are here.
Love,
Sally
