cats snake and darkness
Ok>>>>I have to share. I went out to the shed to get a frozen Diet dinner to take for lunch at work. We leave before it is light, so Mikes in the truck letting it warm up. Now Mike has told me that there is a snake (A large corn snake, harmless non venonous) that lives in the shed where the freezer is. so the whole walk out there I am looking for the snake>>>> I know some of you are going but he has never bothered me. Anyway, I stepped up inside the door and flipped the light on and heard a large hissssss I screamed and look in the direction of the hiss>>>>>> and there stood in all it's glory a large wild cat that looked as big as a very fat racoon. then as he's growling and hissing there was a hiss behind me. I jumped and screamed again. I was so nervous about being out there in the dark anyway that I picked up a rock and threw it at the first cat , then the second cat started running all over the place as the first one fell off the pile of wood it sat on because of a large rock hitting it in the head. Ok I think it's over go get the dinner and go to the truck. As I opened the door of the freezer a third cat jumped off the freezer top and scare me so bad I nearly peed my pants oh yeah nearly did that too. We came home that evening and two of the cats were in the trap but there were no cats on the shed. I asked mike didn't you hear me scream???@# NOOO he says. Thanks I say honey. It took me nearly 5 miles to get my heartbeat back to normal. Just had to share. Love Oma The critter tamer

Oma,
What a way to start the day. LOL. It's a wonder the snake didn't show up too, just to join the party.
The cats may have been in there looking for rodents, but if you've got a good snake on duty, they're gonna be outta luck on that.
I hope your day went smoothly, otherwise.
Love,
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I feel your pain.........I had a feral cat charge me out of the darkness in our shed one night and about gave me a heart attack. The fun of living in the county that our city dwelling buddies will never know. Ferals, Coyotes and Cougars, oh my.....
My sister lives about 3 miles from our ranch in a very wooded area and they have a REALLY big kitty roaming around the area right now, a cougar. I'll take our feral cats over her big kitty anyday.

Oma,
You always me up with your animal stories. They are always funny the way you tell them and I'm sure they are to you AFTER they happen but I wouldn't want to be you DURING the scare!
Love ya,
Mars

I meant wild feral cat but all the wild cats out here are large. We have resident bob cats as well but we only see her in the spring usually with cubs. The coon ransack out barn all the time.
My day did however go better>>>>>I discovered I hold the record for best talk time on the whole production floor. My statistics and attendance are perfect. And include my senority and I am #6 on the ranking list. Pretty good Huh? Love Oma
