Hi!
Well my husband and i are back from our vacation/delayed honeymoon to Florida. Granted it wasn't our originally planned trip to Ireland we had to cancel but it was so nice to get away. Weather was great, very hot, mid to upper 90's and sunny all week. Only problem was bug season started early so that was interesting! About two days into the vacation i started with symptoms again and got concerned as i had been fine since then, figured maybe i ate something by mistake, but the next day hubby had it too so phew...stomach bug! we both felt 'off' all week but at least it wasnt the UC acting up.
Started tapering my prednisone this week at 20mg. so far so good. I have to call the Doctor monday to find out what to do next.
Hope everyone is good!

Hi Erin,
Welcome back! It's a shame that a "bug" had to spoil your vacation, but it's certainly good news that the UC is still under control.
We're all alike, I suppose, in assuming the worst, (that it's a flare), anytime we get D - I suppose that's just human nature. We tend to forget that we're still vulnerable to the same viruses that everyone else has to put up with. LOL.
I hope your doctor has a good plan in mind, for your call on Monday.

Erin!! Welcome home!! You have been missed!! I almost posted a message to ask if anyone knew where Erin was and then I remembered you were on vacation! Glad you didn't have a flare to spoil the time together and that you had a good time.
