For The Grill - Coke Can Chicken

Post by Dee »

Take a :
3-4 pound roasting chicken (rub chicken with extra olive oil)
Dry rub
1/2 c brown sugar
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 tsp dried rosemary
Mix together & rub all over chicken after you've rubbed chicken down with the olive oil.
Take a can of coke, (I use Whole Foods 365 brand) and pour 3/4 cup out of the can. Use what you normally do for coke.
Heat only "One" side of a bar-b-q grill on medium.
Take either a metal pan or a foil one and place it on the side of the grill that "Is Not" lit. Put the can of coke in the middle of the pan. Then place the roasting chicken over the coke can. It will be butt up...
Cook for 1-1/2 hours. Check with a thermometer. Should have an internal temp of 180 degrees..
