Probiotic question

Is it better to have the refrigerated kind vs. the non-refrigerated?

Just curious - :???:

Mars, I have absolutely no idea. I keep my Culturelle in the fridge and take one packet out at a time and keep it in the kitchen cupboard. I don't even know if the stuff it really doing me any good. As an old friend used to say, "It's elephant repellant." You don't see any elephants around here do you?

Hi Margie,

Dr. Fine once recommended the refrigerated kind to me - in an email. I think the microorganisms that are supposed to be alive are temperature sensitive and heat can kill them. Otherwise I don't have any explanation.

Love,
Karen
