Hope Everyone Had A Safe Holiday

Post by jodibelle352 »

:pigtail: Hi All !!!!

Hope everyone had a safe July 4th.

David and I stayed close to home as dealing with he holiday traffic here is NOT our idea of a good time anymore. LOL  We did have a great surprise on Fri. night. We just moved into this new apartment in Nov. so we're just learning the ropes around here.

On Fri. evening about 10p.m. we kept hearing booms, bangs and pops but when we looked out side the sliding glass doors we couldn't see anything! Finally I went out on the deck and looked to the South of us and I'm yelling for David;"Come here, come here............look!!!!"
Somebody must have purchased some illegal fireworks and were shooting them off. Needless to say, from our deck we had a "ring side seat", no traffic, no people standing in front of us and no hassels! We had the greatest view and watched fireworks for at least an hour and a half. It was great! I was close to a potty and David didn't have to carry around his oxygen. We actually were blessed with a time together and loved every minute of it.

This is going to be a hectic week for us. My oldest daughter; Renee is having a "garage sale" and we have several items that we are going to try and get rid of. Soooo, I will not be on Thurs., Fri. and Sat. as I will be out to Renee's helping. Hopefully, today my grand-daughter and her friends will be here to get this mountain of totes out of my kitchen that I have all tagged and packed.

Will try and be on today for the chat, if I'm back from David's Dr's apt. in time.

Love and God Bless:
Jodi

How very neat a private show.

GF and Welchol helped me watch fireworks at the lake. Big ones on the 4th that were so delayed we thought they were canceled. Someone thought maybe it was wind related.

Saturday was the sailing club party and cabin colony members set off fire works after the party. They were the best since we lost our professional pyrotechnic. We gave him free membership for fireworks.

Weather here in Michigan at least in the "Thumb Area" was perfect for fireworks. So many other area's were cancelled because of "high fire" levels. Glad to hear that you also had a great 4th. I bet you have a great time on the water.
Love Ya!
