Why can't I edit my own post?
I went into my medical profile this evening to update it. Granted, I had it up on the screen for quite awhile and did some other things in between typing. When I sent it, it said I could not edit someone elses post and I lost all the info. But, it was my post and nobody had posted after me.
I will update it this weekend and just start a reply- that should do it.

Here is what usually happens in a case like that, (the same thing has happened to me numerous times). Sometimes when I have been navigating around like that, I thought that I had returned to the proper edit window, but actually I had not--I was at a window of a previous edit. Also, I have thought that I had lost a post, but when I looked at the navigation indicators for my browser, I noticed that the "Forward" button was highlighted. When I clicked on it, sure enough, there was my post, I just hadn't gone far enough. That has saved my hide numerous times.
As long as no one has responded to your post, you should be able to edit it. Sometimes, when this happens, you have to re-boot your computer to correct a temporary browser problem. The reason the software won't let you edit an intermediate, (older), edit window, is because it thinks there is already a post past it, (your other, (newer), edit window), but if you navigate forward, you should be able to complete editing the newer edit message.
I hope that I haven't just added to the confusion with this attempted explanation. If I need to try again, please let me know.
