A prayer request

Post by barbaranoela »

For some 40 odd years Lou and a bunch of OTIS guys started together and remained friends----
Even retirement didnt separate these guys---
They would meet for breakfast/lunch---and even chat away on the phones--just like us gals luve to do--
Talk about the old days---on and on~~~~~

Today a call came in that one of the group --Marty McCarthy--passed away---

A prayer would be a wonderful *fly-away* for Marty---

Thank U all--
Barbara

Poem barbara...

As I walk the path between life and death,
I see the birds and hear their call.
With each step forward I smell the new mown grass.
And I wonder at the fragrance of the flowers.
I quicken my pace as familiar faces smile, in welcome of me.
And friendly hands extend to clasp in mine.
I hear a gentle, loving voice, that calms my puzzled soul.
"Welcome home, have no fear. You are safe and those you loved are here Come into the garden and rest awhile."
And as I sit, a loved one comes and leads me further on I smile and sigh as I realise That the pains of the earth are gone.
My body was tired so I laid it down.
But my spirit journeys on...

Barbara,

Of course. We share Lou's pain.

That's great that they've all stayed in touch for so many years. That says a lot about their character.

Luve,
Galahad

P S Angy, that's a beautiful poem.

We are so sorry, our thoughts are with you....this is a little something written by my sister after loss in our family...

Don't be sad because it ended, be glad because it happened - laugh at heartbreak and do it again! We are the wheel of life..... grab every moment and squeeze the happiness, joy, fun, and love out of it, let it pour across your life like a fine champagne. Use the bubbles to lift your spirit and be giddy with the exhilaration. As always, living fully in the moment takes courage and comes, at times, with sadness. Sadness is our joy turned inside out - we cannot have one without the other. We cannot live a full life without both.

Hugs,
C

My Thoughts and Prayers are with you and all the friends this passing as left behind.
It sounds to me like this group of characters will forever have many many lasting memories to hold onto when one day they are all together again and have wings to create an awesome time together as Our Heavenly watches close by with a BIG SMILE!

Love and God Bless:

I'm sorry that one of Lou's "old gang" has left the group. I'll be sure to say a prayer for him.
