Last Tuesday I contacted my Family Physicians Office to request mailing me the orders for the Labs on my Thyroid. Hoping to avoid additional co-pay visits but also am anxious to have the results back when I have my appointment on Aug. 5th.
This morning after not receiving the orders I called my FP office and got the "Answering Service" which informed me that the office was closed for vacation and no one would be available until Aug. 5th the date of my appointment.
Now I talked to Stephanie, Doc's nurse told her what I had found out from my GI and about the nodule on my Thyroid Gland and what she felt needed to be followed up on. Now Stephanie called me back on Tuesday afternoon and said I'll be mailing the orders out to you today! I guess one must wonder "What 'today' she actually meant?"
Was just hoping to have results when I went in but guess that's not going to happen. I'm just really upset with Doc's nurse. Sometimes when nurses leave an office and new ones come in you have to take the good with the bad and right now Stephanie is at the top of my "STRESS LIST"!
Sorry, just needed to vent!
