OK---will try to place the moving points

Post by barbaranoela »

Marty and Myra---had a great luve and did so much for their community----they were invovled in helping needy families---getting kids involved with activities to keep them outta troubles--

Myra stood up---@ the funeral parlor---and thanked us for luving Martin so much and doing her the honor of seeing him fly away--

They have a son--Fran---who is a perfect gentleman---and who embraced us for coming to see---DAD!!!
Marty knew he was going---he was tired and said to Myra----*I will be waiting for U and Fran*--

He had ailments -- entered the hospital--had a stroke and that just tired him out--
At the funeral home--Myra stood up with Fran--by her side and said how Marty luved us all and that he knew how we luved him--and she THANKED us for honoring her and Fran by being with them--

His cousin said the Mass---and spoke TO Marty---not ABOUT him--saying Martin can U see all that have come here outta luve for U and your family--

and what moved me---instead of the family walking behind the casket--like a parade---all were seated and down the aisle came Marty--escorted by his twin cousins--- again

Many of the retired other OTIS men came and of course---the men huddled for a bit and traded stories of things that happened on their jobs and that brought a chuckle--
At the cemetary we all had a flower to place with Martin and say whatever we would like to-- again

There was so much more---it was a celebration of joy---naturally sadness but the joy of his life shadowed most of the sadness!!!
It was something I shall always remember--
so here's to U Marty :toast:

Dear Barbara,

Your stories are so well written and so full of emotion you had me crying with you. Sounds like a wonderful service and I am sure he is working on those elevators "upstairs" to bring everyone some day up to join him.

Love, Maggie

Ain't it the truth! If Barbara wrote the obituary column in the newspaper, people would be buying the paper just to read her column.
