Announcing the arrival of the latest addition to the family. This is our new whippet puppy out of my showdog that I co-own with my best friend. She is driving him from Boston to Okie-land to deliver him to us. His name is Bunnygetter's Celtic Firedance aka Keaton.......to be seen at a dog show in this area very soon....and to be a spoiled 4 legged kid with the rest of the pack running around our house the rest of the time....

Carrie,

WOW!!!

He is stunning!!!

Congrats! I love my "babies" even though they are just mutts in their own right. Couldn't imagine life without 'em.

We think he is special...but we might be a bit biased.... Our show dogs and the rescue dogs we have are our furry kids. Our lives revolve around keeping them happy and healthy. If you want to see the rest of the our dog family, we have a site of pic's of them at www.bunnygetterwhippets.com The mother of this dog is the one named Bridget, and there are some more pic's of Keaton and family on the Photo's page...( can't tell I'm excited about his arrival...huh... )

Just talked with Patty and he has made it almost to Harrisburg PA....trying to travel with 5 puppies is making the trip a little slow...every hour on the hour, one of them needs to use a rest stop...to bad they couldn't get all the kids to go at once...

Carrie,

Your "kids" are beautiful. I feel the same about my four legged children as Jill. Lucy, the mutt, and Salem, the black cat, are both very spoiled!

Take care

Thanks! We are very proud of them...we have been in this breed since 1987 and they are a very big part of our life, and Keaton will be hogging our bed with the rest of them very soon.

The dog I may want, a Silken Windhound, is bred from a Whippet and Borzoi.

The precious cargo arrived safely Saturday afternoon, and is now running amok in our house like a little black lightning streak........It's been 10 years since our last whippet puppy, I had forgotten just how much energy they have...

Will be downing coffee non-stop to keep up with Keaton the wildman....

Congrats. Have fun. I don't think I could handle a puppy.

Our Borzoi, Tara, who owned us many years ago, was slightly "used" when we got her. Thank goodness she was housebroken.

I have just been in touch with a woman who has an extensive Borzoi pedigree info online to add Tara to her database. I still have her AKC certificate after all these years so I have all the registration numbers for her and her dam and sire and the breeder's name.

Have you heard about Silken Windhounds?

Keaton poses like a champ already. Gorgeous!

Hmmmmm, Joan, the "windhound" sounds like the perfect mascot for us MCers. HAHAHAHAHA. Sorry, I couldn't resist. I'll bet they are beautiful doggies.

Love,

Polly

P.S. Carrie, are you sleep-deprived?
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

Sleep is coming a little more regular schedule, at least he is averaging only a trip or two out at night...oh, the fun of a whippet pup, they are a high maintenence breed....

I have heard of the Silken Windhounds, but don't know anything about them or any of the other "designer dogs" that people have come up with by crossing whippets with other breeds. Since the AKC frowns upon such crossings, they are not allowed at AKC or ASFA events, hence the fact that I have never seen one. But I'm sure they would make a wonderful pet.

Hugs,
Carrie
