FLAIRING - Diarrhea is back :( Calling RONI!!!

Post by TendrTummy »

Hey, RONI,

I was curious about something you'd mentioned under my FIBRO thread on the old CC board.. you had mentioned something about the body detoxifying after getting rid of the offending foods. You mentioned a few articles but didn't give links.. do you have those links?? I'm curious to see these articles cuz I'm just getting WORSE and WORSE after removing soy, milk, and egg from my diet, and while it COULD be that dairy tends to make you "regular" if you know what I mean, I'm not sure that's it..

Since removing the soy, dairy, and egg about a week ago, I've had increasing pain, increasing joint and extremity symptoms, which aren't so bad today, but the stomach pain is HORRIBLE yesterday and today, and now the diarrhea is BACK. I had norman for about 2 weeks, and after last weekend, it's still been "solid" but the consistency was a bit more dusty, i.e. you flush the toilet, it goes up in a cloud, but NOW it's pure diarrhea.. :( WAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

Not Roni, but I think Dr. Fine says that when you stop ingesting an antigen, the receptor that makes antibodies to that particular antigen makes MORE of the antobodies temporarily. I think I read it recently in that reference on Wayne's "first" board - in one of those posts where Wayne and Mike were trying to interpret their lab findings. Someone (Matthew? Wayne?) posted the url for the section on Dr.Fine's website where he addresses interpretation of lab results. Maybe Peg can find it if you have a problem?

Love,

Thanks, Polly! Maybe with that, I can encourage myself to just stick with it until the flair lets up.. I have the urge to down some chunk cheese, just to stop myself up.. but I'll resist in the name of good health! Hopefully those receptors will BACK OFF and let me have my body back to myself. Ugh it's making all kinds of NOISES now..

I'll just sit here and say quietly to myself "I hate my stomach, I hate my stomach, I hate my stomach.."

Christine,

This is per the Leap Program. I have the information in my booklet;

Q: What if I feel worse during this diet?

A. Sometime when a food sensitivity patient eliminates their reactive foods, they begin to feel temporarily worse than they did before the diet.
Maybe they have less energy, more aches and pains, more irritability, or they just feel that they are getting worse instead of better. If this happens to you during your first week on the program you should actually get excited because that is one of the main signs that you are on the road to recovery.

Food sensitivity has been likened to food addiction, and physician's who treat food sensitivities have observed for years that patients often go through temporary withdrawal symptoms when they avoid their reactive foods. This is thought to be a kind of "cleaning ip" of all the allergens in your system and a simultaneous re-calibration of you biochemical equilibrium.

Also, Craig a friend of mine is a nutritionist and an accupuncturist. He said the best way to cure diarreah is to take powdered carob. It should just be Carob. no fillers. You can get it at a health food store. I tried it on emily but she didn't like the taste of it. He suggest, putting some in applesause. Even with MC it shouldn't hurt you, unless you know your allergic to it. They used this remedy for years. It is suppose to soothe the digestive tract. Slippery Elm I've read helps a lot too.

Do a search on medicinal carob powder. It is intersting. If your having D
I would not eat any dairy.

Sounds like your working hard. Keep up the good work.
