Hi All,

If you're trying to control your symptoms by diet, and you're still not in remission, even though you feel that you've eliminated every suspicious food that you can think of, chances are, even though you've eliminated the first few items in this list, you're still eating some of the other 14 foods discussed in this article by Dr. Fine. Maybe one of these is the problem, and you might try fine tuning your diet, by eliminating it for a few days, to see if there's any improvement. Please read his discussion, though, before proceeding to eliminate any of these from your diet. If you also have the symptoms of fibromyalgia, please be sure to carefully read the last paragraph of his article.

Gluten (wheat, rye, barley, oats)
Cow's milk (all dairy products)
Soy
Dietary yeast
Corn, (and possibly other grains)
Beef
Pork
Eggs
Peanuts (and possibly other legumes)
Nightshades (potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, chilies)
Tree nuts
High protein diet/foods/bars

This list of foods along with Dr. Fine’s lectures , lots of other reading , and finally after many twists and turns, making the decision to quit trying to find gluten free substitutes for what I used to eat but simply eating “real food” in other words fruits, vegetables, nuts and natural meat and fish have made a remarkable change in my health.

For those looking for a basic primer for this new life style I feel many members would recommend Loren Cordain’s book “The Paleo Diet”

A great place to begin. It would have been so much simpler if i had known where to start.
