No More Foot Pain

Post by Gloria »

I had foot surgery two years ago to correct a bunion, a protruding bone on my baby toe, and a cyst on the other foot. It was several months before I was even able to wear any normal shoes. I had to buy an entire set of new, larger shoes for work. Even as late as this spring, I still had to wear the larger shoes and weekly sand down the callus that formed on surgical scar on my baby toe. It was still painful to walk in shoes.

This fall, I've noticed that the callus isn't regenerating and I'm once again able to wear my old shoes. I no longer have pain and my feet seem to have returned to their normal size. I could attribute the change to not wearing shoes on a daily basis since I've retired, but I don't believe that would affect the change in my foot size.

I suspect that since I've finally eliminated all of my intolerances, my feet are no longer swollen and my baby toe isn't reacting. Is that possible?

One of the listed side effects of Entocort is swollen ankles, though I don't see swollen feet listed, and of course, these side effects don't affect everyone.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I get pain from gluten reactions. And my feet used to kill me. Every morning the first steps would make them feel like they'd been in a vice all night. As I got farther into and better at the gf diet, the pain has pretty much gone away (although I still notice it when I spend days on construction sites for my job to some extent  ). I had ankle surgery in 2001 and that area is one of the first to get sore from a reaction too.

Of course not having to wear shoes all day probably helps a lot. I really don't think we were meant to wear shoes, especially the designs some shoe companies come up with. My mom is having trouble with one of her feet right now, the result of a pinched nerve back in the 60s when she first started teaching and had inappropriate but stylish shoes to wear to work.

Glad you have found relief!
