Dear Denise,

Thanks to the 14,978 letters that senators and representatives received from Food & Water Watch activists last week, Congress is maintaining the ban on Chinese chicken imports at least until March 6, 2009! President Bush signed the bill into law yesterday.

This is an exciting achievement for food safety advocates given the intense lobbying efforts by big agribusiness that we were up against.

Thank you for your efforts! It made a difference.
