That site is typical of most internet sites that offer obsolete, (and therefore pretty much worthless), information about MC. From the first sentence, to the last, much of that information is just plain incorrect. There are not two forms of MC, for example, there are at least five known types that have been described in the medical literature. As you noticed, that treatment recommendation, (for IBS), is a dead-to-rights tip-off that they know virtually nothing about treating MC.

They obviously get their information from the same sources that most GI docs use. The sad part is that many people who read those sites probably believe what they read, and if they don't research any further, they will never know any better.
