THANK YOU ANDI & EVERYONE!!!

I was just getting ready to post and I saw this....thank you, I am so deeply touched!!

IT WAS GREAT!!!!!

I managed to finish in 2:22:31.....faster than any of my training runs. I am THRILLED to report I didn't have to stop and use ANY of the porta-potties, not a single one!!!! It was truly a miracle.

My knee started to act up around mile 10, but I was able to keep going for the last three miles. My body definitely needs time to recover and recoup from all this intense training, and get back to some normalcy for a change.

Thank you all again for the incredible support....it means more than words can ever express.

Much love to all,
Jill

Congratulations on completing the marathon! Now you can allow your body to rest and recuperate.

Jill,
You did wonderfully well!! I am happy for you. The fact that your knee mostly held out, and you did not need the porta potty is great news. You should be proud of your time, you are a faster runner than I am, i can tell you that much. I have never run a marathon, but my partner Dave used to run every year in the Burlington marathon (until a couple years ago after a car accident. He still runs but not marathons anymore).
Make sure now to rest your body. Keep in touch and let us know how your body is healing.
Again, CONGRATULATIONS!! (i am not sure how to use the cute icons others uses in their posts, pretend i have an icon yelling congratulations to you).

Jill,

Congratulations! That's really impressive, especially in light of the fact that you're not even in remission, yet. The deck was definitely stacked against you, but you did yourself proud, for sure, (and made us all proud, to boot).

Love,
Tex

Andi,

To add emoticons to your posts, whenever you get to a spot where you want to add one, just click on the "View more Emoticons" link, (under the icons to the left of the message-composing window), and when the pop-up window opens, maximize it, (to make it easier to navigate through all the emoticons), and click on the one, (or ones), than you want to add to your post. The code for those emoticons will automatically appear in your post. If you decide to move them to some other location in your post, simply cut and paste them wherever you want. You can also copy them and duplicate them, if you want. Just be sure that there is always at least one blank space ahead of the colon at the front of the emoticon code, in your post, (if you copy and paste it), so that everyone's browsers will be able to display it correctly.

Anytime you have any questions about how something on this board works, please don't hesitate to ask. There are a lot of bells and whistles available, for various purposes.
