Does Dr. Fine see patients?

Post by manonash »

I know he will do phone consults, but is he currently seeing patients or is he mostly research? I go to the Dallas area pretty frequently and would go see him if he does see patients. Otherwise, anyone know of a good GI in the Dallas area?

Thanks!

I believe that someone mentioned that Dr. Fine isn't even doing phone consultations right now, because he is out on a lecture circuit, (or maybe it's a music tour, for all I know - he seems to be a rock star wannabe).

I'm sorry, but I'm not aware of any other "good" GI docs in this state, (though there may well be some, somewhere). I stopped looking, years ago.

I'm not sure if Dr. Fine's office manager would recommend another GI doc, or not, but an e-mail or a phone call would surely get you an answer from the lab. Heck, for that matter, ask them if he ever sees any patients these days. I don't know if anyone here has ever even asked that question. He might, when he's back in town.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I've sent them an email at Enterolab to find out. Maybe I'll hear back soon.

Please let us know how they responded, there are probably others who might be interested.

Thanks,

Here's the email I got from enterolab:
Unfortunately, Dr. Fine is no longer in practice, but rather, strictly research. However, his brother, Dr. Jeffrey Fine is in Irving, TX and is currently seeing patients. His information is as follows: 2021 N MacArthur Blvd #325 Irving, TX 75061 (972) 253-4205. We hope this information is helpful. For further questions, please contact us once more. Thank you, Alexis Carreon EnteroLab Customer Service"
