Coconut Milk Dulce De Leche (Caramel Sauce)

2- 14oz. cans unsweetened coconut milk
1-1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Put above in a saucepan & whisk until sugar dissolves over medium heat.
Then bring to a boil and whisk until it is reduced to 2-1/2 cups.
About 20 minutes.
Then transfer to small jars.

Dee,

So glad to see this recipe! I first discovered it when friend made a dessert with pears using this sauce, and I tolerated it well. I always keep a jar of it in my fridge and add some to my morning mixed fruit.......it is a wonderful treat for one like me with so many intolerances and very little sweet things to eat.
