Soy warning...Hain Safflower Oil
FYI.....I bought some Hain Safflower oil and didn't notice the "vitamin E added" on the bottle. To late, after using it for weeks, DH kept slipping into a flare and we couldn't figure out why, so I emailed the company. They finally answered and the vitamin E is soy....major bummer

Carrie,
That's a heck of a note, especially since the name of the company is Hain Pure Foods.
Good detective work.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
That's unbelievable, considering soy is a major allergen. You shouldn't have had to email the company to find out that it contained soy. It's hard enough to figure out our intolerances, and then we have to worry about hidden ingredients.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
I'm not to happy with the fact that it took so long to get an answer from them, and the fact that they didn't have it listed in their ingredients. I had been buying Spectrum brand, but happened to find the Hain at a different HFS and it was cheaper. Guess the ole " you get what you pay for" applies here...That will be the last Hain product that we buy.
Hugs,
Carrie
