Want To Add 5 Years To Your Life Expectancy?

Post by tex »

Drink half a glass of wine each day. (At least that's what this Dutch study concludes). YMMV.

Dee,

Sulfite-free wines are pretty scarce - apparently they're an accident of nature. You may get some guidelines from this article, if you haven't already seen this, (note the labeling information):
Wines that contain less than 10 ppm sulfites are not required to put "Contains Sulfites" on their labels; however, this does not mean the wine is "sulfite-free" or contains no sulfites.
10 ppm is exactly half the new limit of 20 ppm of gluten, for labeling a product as gluten-free, FWIW.

Also, this article discusses the sulfite issue, and mentions some other common sources of sulfites, such as meat, legumes, cabbage, onions, leeks, chives, broccoli, cauliflower, and garlic.
